YWCA Girls on the Run Spring 5K

Anyone who has been to a Girls on the Run 5K knows that it is unlike any other running event. It is a celebration of and for the girls who are completing a ten week season of the Girls on the Run program. Positive energy abounds as the girls dance to warm-up music, get their hair “happied” and their faces painted, and gather with their teammates as they head to the starting line.

Our 5K is a non-competitive event that will bring a smile to your face! Due to the Girls on the Run 5k run/walk event focusing on COMPLETION, not a competition, there is not an additional awards ceremony. When they finish, we encourage all participants to stay and cheer on all the remaining participants and encourage them to go at their own goal-pace to finish!
The event is open to all ages and genders and includes free family-friendly activities and a Kids K. You will be so glad you joined us! There will be free water, coffee/hot chocolate from Caribou, and other surprises!

Activities begin at 8am, the Kids K at 9am, and the 5K at 10 am
