Zachary Cohen Plays Schubert’s Arpeggione Sonata

About

Principal Bass Zachary Cohen plays an arrangement of Franz Schubert’s famous work for arpeggione, a now extinct instrument similar to a bowed guitar, alongside Florence Price’s technically and lyrically epic String Quartet No 2. The program concludes with a Clarinet Quintet titled “The Refugee” by Lev “Ljova” Zhurbin which is “inspired by stories of people leaving their homeland to find basic ways to continue their life and find some level of comfort.”
