About

Ash Trail Lodge invites you to enjoy a relaxing vacation in the great northwoods of Ash River, MN and the Voyageurs National Park. Our lakes offer some of the best fishing in Minnesota; these include Kabetogama, Namakan, Sand Point, Crane and Rainy Lakes. Fishing walleye, northern, crappie, and smallmouth bass are second to none. Four Seasons Of Fun are to be had at Ash Trail Lodge and Voyageurs National Park. We are the central gateway to the National Park which means navigating the waters and getting to the prime fishing and swimming spots are just minutes away! We are the closest community to the Kettle Falls Hotel and mechanical portgage to Rainy Lake.

What to do? Walleye, northern pike, small-mouth bass, and crappie can be your catch-of-the-day while taking in the spectacular beauty of the rock cliffs, pine studded shorelines, quiet bays, and beautiful skies. Often the deer, moose, black bears, eagles, timberwolves, otters, and beavers can be seen in our peaceful corner of the world. Birding has become a very popular pastime as well. Swim at one of the many sandy spots in the park and enjoy a perfect picnic. The Park offers many day use and camping sites with docks, grills and toilets.

Our northland is a true winter wonderland with a variety of activities from snowmobiling to cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and ice fishing. There are hundreds of miles of groomed snowmobile trails and cross-country ski trails throughout Voyageurs National Park and surrounding areas. In fact, the trail is right outside your cabin door on the Ash River. How convenient is that?

We offer eleven exceptional cabins of various sizes and three lodge rooms with all the comforts of home. These include deluxe full-log cabins for family reunions to cozy one bedroom cabins perfect for honeymoons.Relax in our lodge which offers your favorite adult beverage at our bar and scrumptious meals in the restaurant dining room. We also offer boat & motor rentals, guide service, bait & gas, lodge with pool table & fun! Offering housekeeping, American Plan and Fishermen's (food, boat & guides) packages.
