From Avon 1.4 miles W on Co Hwy 54, then 1.8 miles N on Tower Rd, then 0.5 mile W on Quaker Rd. Park on S road shoulder. Hike S into woods of site. Or From Avon on Co Rd 9, then 1 mile S on Kalla Lk Rd, then .5 mile E on Schuman Lk Rd. Park in pull-off.

This 350-acre SNA lies in the heart of central Minnesota's 65,000-acre Avon Hills region. The region is known for its constellation of high value natural and cultural features within the rolling terrain of the St. Croix Moraine.
Any season merits a visit: early spring for neo-tropical migrant songbirds establishing nesting territories or refueling for journeys farther north; fall for seasonal color in the oaks, maples, birch and tamarack; or, as local resident Kenzie Cotty (age 12) writes , "If you want to believe that anything is possible, you should go take a walk in the Avon Hills in winter as the snow falls."
This site has no maintained trails or other recreational facilities. This site is in an Audubon Important Bird Area.
