About
Beautiful and fast antique wooden carousel operates seasonally in a Victorian pavilion near the Conservatory in St. Paul’s Como Park. Its 68 hand-carved horses and 2 chariots have been fully restored and show much of their original paint. Built by Philadelphia Toboggan Company in 1914, the carousel spent its first 75 years at the Minnesota State Fair. Music comes from a rebuilt Wurlitzer 153 band organ. Even when it is not operating, the carousel can be seen through large glass doors.
