Cedar Valley Resort is nestled in a secluded valley surrounded by the raw, natural beauty of bluff country known as the driftless region in southeastern Minnesota. There are 60 miles of paved Root River State Trail accessible directly from your cabin. With our brand new Rustic Hearth Retreat Center, we are the perfect location for family reunions, women's retreats, business retreats, crafting weekends and church retreats. Biking (including E-Bikes), hiking, canoeing, kayaking, tubing, fishing on the the Root River with referral to local fishing guides, horseshoes, frisbee golf, sand volleyball, basketball, pickleball, X-skiing, snowshoeing, snow-tubing and so much more are available on the resort!

Whether you are a couple looking for a quiet getaway, a group of friends getting together, or planning a family reunion, we have the perfect setting and accommodations to fill your needs. The beautiful 3,4,6 & 8 bedroom cabins range in size from 1400 sq. ft. to 5300 sq. ft. Each cabin has a large "Great Room" with a gas fireplace and beautiful knotty pine interior for a wonderful "Northwood's" feel. Some of the cabins have vaulted ceilings while others have lofts & log railings. The kitchens are fully furnished and include a dishwasher, all cooking utensils, and an 8' long log table which offers ample meal space for everyone. All bedrooms have one queen bed with some of the larger bedrooms also having a twin over double bunk. All have central air and heat, with Wolf and the Big Timber cabins being completely handicapped accessible with a roll-in shower and grab bars. Each cabin also includes a splendid view of the valley, including the Root River State Trail. The wildlife is abundant and includes bald eagles, deer, wild turkeys and of course in the evenings you'll hear the hoot owls and coyotes.
