About

The City of Rush City is a town 58 miles north of the Twin Cities conveniently located just off of I-35 and has a population around 3,000. It is a great place to enjoy the natural beauty of MN in a small town, rural setting that offers many amenities. Get out of the boring "chain" hotels and stay at the historic Grant House Hotel and Eatery, conveniently located just off the main drag (see image) and "Old Hwy 61". During the summertime you can walk to the affordable Aquatic Center which provides fun for children and adults alike. It offers safe, "zero depth" playtime for infants and toddlers as well as a 165 ft. slide, diving pool, lap pool, and a 26 ft. drop slide. You could also head out 10 minutes west and visit Rush Lake for a day of fishing or boating and enjoy a meal at one of the two restaurants on the nearly 1500 sq. acre lake. Maybe get in 18 holes at Bulrush Golf Club which also offers a full menu and bar. Looking to start a business in Rush City? The city's Industrial Park is one of the largest industrial parks between the Twin Cities and Duluth, employing over seven hundred workers. We also have Burlington Northern rail service through town and the Rush City regional airport, the longest paved runway on the I-35 corridor.
