About

Nestled in the tall pines of Northern Minnesota this beautiful Minnesota resort offers updated cabins that can accommodate you and your honey or you and your entire family! (Check out our website for more pictures, rates and open booking days http://www.edgewood-resort.com) Edgewood is located on the shores of prestigious Long Lake, only 2.5 miles from Park Rapids, Minnesota, known for its stunning lakes, golf courses, restaurants and abounding activities that entertain locals and tourists alike, year around.

Edgewood Resort is only a short drive to Itasca State Park which offers 32,690 acres to explore with 2,000 acres of wilderness sanctuary, designated as a National Natural Landmark. The Mississippi River begins its 2,552-mile journey to the Gulf of Mexico here. At the outflow from Lake Itasca, millions of visitors have walked across the headwaters, wading in the footsteps of American history.
Summer

Spring and summer here will give you the opportunity to enjoy our long sand beach. Fishing on Long Lake has become legendary, you can rent one of our boats or just cast off one of our docks. Fall asleep beside a fire and listen to the calls of the loons with your coffee in the morning. There are no cabins here that are not steps to the water with their own memorable views. Cyclists gather here to enjoy the Heartland Trail and the many routes that it takes them. Hike through some of Minnesota’s incredible forests. See our abundance of wild life and remember how to be a kid again. Make memories!
Winter

Winter is a memorable season on its own in Northern Minnesota. Across the nation we’re known for our plummeting temperatures and inches of snow fall every year. But, like any season, winter can be a lot of fun for the whole family. Snowmobilers come up and rent Edgewood’s largest cabins for a gathering place to stop after a long days ride and get a great night’s rest. Walker is a great distance to enjoy by snowmobile and, if you come at the right time, you can head that way to enjoy the epic Eelpout Festival on Leach Lake. And, of course, there is always the ice fishing!
