Grey Wolf Lodge is a family, fun, fishing resort located on scenic Pelican Lake, a fantastic bass, crappie, bluegill, northern pike, and walleye fishery. Most of our 9 cabins are located on the water's edge. We have a nice beach area on our 1000' of sandy shoreline. Other amenities include: mini-golf course, playground areas, beach volleyball court, hiking trails, 12 stall covered boathouse, cement boat launch, private campfire areas, secluded park-like grounds. Enjoy nature at its best! Pelican Lake covers 12,000 acres with 50 miles of shoreline and about 50 islands. The many islands, points and bays offer hours of exploring opportunities including a 210 acre "Scientific and Natural Area" island. The variety of structure provides great fishing for many species including bluegills, crappies, large and small mouth bass, northern pike and some walleyes. Pelican Lake is home to an unusually large number of birds including eagles, osprey, loons and pelicans. Otters, beavers and muskrats inhabit the shoreline.Grey Wolf Lodge is a quiet family resort located a mile from the nearest through road. All our fully modern cabins are tucked right at the waters edge with spectacular views from lakeside windows and decks. Our grounds are level and wooded for easy, pleasant strolls. The covered boathouse with its deck offers some of the best kid's fishing on the lake. We have a small sand beach and offer free use of the paddleboat and kayaks.Grey Wolf Lodge is located less that an hour from a variety of activities. We are just seven miles from the internationally famous Vince Shute Wildlife Sanctuary where wild black bears can be viewed in their natural habitat. Several golf courses are nearby and great dining is just minutes away. Plan a day trip to Voyageurs National Park and be sure to include Ranier with its craft shops and restaurants. A trip to Ely can be made on a winding forest road on the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area or by paved highway.Plan now for a summer or autumn visit.
