The Hallberg Center for the Arts is owned and operated by the Wyoming Area Creative Arts Community (a 501(c)(3) nonprofit) in Wyoming, MN

With 11 powerful new art exhibits each year (some collaborative, some solo or duo) by regional artists, there is alway something new to see. Every other month the center brings in 3 songwriters to perform their original music.

The organization also offers classes and workshops for artists and aspiring artists throughout the region.

The Wyoming Area Creative Arts Community (WACAC) is an alliance of Artists, Musicians, Performers, Photographers, and Writers that have come together to bring the arts to the communities surrounding Wyoming, MN including Forest Lake, Stacy, North Branch, Chisago City, and more.

After a year and a half in the organization stage, meeting every month at the Nesting Grounds (a local coffee shop), the WACAC made it's first real appearance at Wyoming's annual festival, Stagecoach Days in the fall of 2013. Putting their vision on the line, hoping for a good turnout, and testing a population's acceptance of an organization bringing arts into the community.
The artists organized and stretched canvas's for kids to paint on. Businesses in the area printed banners and flyers, donated a tent, contributed money for materials and prizes, and the event moved forward. The event, "Kids Can Be Artists Too", was designed to allow young aspiring artists experience painting on canvas or throwing ceramic pots on the wheel with area artists.

The event's success exceeded expectations with roughly 130 children (and a few adults) creating works of art on Friday and Saturday. Sunday was the show and judging of artwork created by these future artists, and prizes were awarded.

One year later, in 2014, at the second annual event, over 200 kids painted. This past year, in 2016, the Wyoming Area Creative Arts Community repeated their event for the 4rd time at Wyoming's Stagecoach Days. This time over 375 area youth (and a few adults again) stopped by to create their own original paintings.

The Wyoming Area Creative Arts Community encourages personal growth and discovery, providing mentorship for artists through presentations, performances, displays and exhibitions.
