From Jacobson take St. Hwy. 65 south 2.5 miles. Turn left on 657th Street. Continue east for 3 miles and then the road T's. Turn south on 170th place which leads you 1 mile into the campground.

Located in the Savanna State Forest, is managed by Savanna Portage State Park. The campground is adjacent to the Hay Lake public landing. The 20 campsites are considered primitive, designed to furnish only the basic needs of the camper. The campsites consist of a cleared area, fire ring, and picnic table. Vault toilets, garbage cans, and drinking water are available. Hay Lake Campground offers a small swimming area and water access to Hay Lake, which is known for panfish, crappie, smallmouth bass, northern pike, and walleye. Campsites are wooded; some have views of the lake.
