From Virginia, MN:Travel north on Hwy 53. Turn right on Hwy 169. Travel 6 miles and turn right on Hwy 21. Travel 12 miles. Turn right on Salo Road just after the Fire Hall. Heritage Park and Campground is 1/4 mile on the left side of the road.

10 RV hookups, showerhouse, tent camping area, hiking trails & canoe portage area on Embarrass River. Bog walk, exercise course, picnic shelter, paved bicycle trail linking an old/restore Finnish farmstead and the Nelimark Homestead Museum (Finnish craft shop & museum). Tours of local Finnish homestead available by appointment. Ample opportunities and locations along walking trail for bird and wildlife watching.
