History Center of Olmsted County
About
Interpretive exhibits detailing history of Olmsted County ranging from Prehistoric, Paleo, Native American, to Early Rochester, and the Mayo Clinic; research library and archives containing over 600,000 maps, photographs, diaries, journals, and books relating primarily to Olmsted County and southeastern Minnesota. Each year the History Center of Olmsted County, together with its enthusiastic volunteers, provides presentations, educational and outreach programs, special events, museum exhibits, and more. The History Center currently owns and operates two historic buildings and two historic farmsteads. The History Center also operates seasonal tours of Mayowood Historic Home.
