Park is located 2 miles north of Lake City,MN on Hwy 61&63. Lake City is located 15 miles south of Red Wing, 35 miles north-east of Rochester, 45 miles north of Winona, and 65 miles south of Minneapolis/St. Paul.

About

Hok-Si-La Park is located on the MN side of Lake Pepin. Spectacular views of the Mississippi River and bluffs can be seen from the dining hall/events facility and campsites. Experience tent camping at its best. Six sleeping cabins are nestled in the woods. Day use screened shelters near beach and playground. Launch your boat, swim in the lake and explore our beach and playground, check out the interpretive center, enjoy a picnic or relax at the chapel. Park is open year-round for hiking, birdwatching or cross-country skiing. Family vacations & reunions, company picnics & meetings, birthday & graduation parties, bicycle & sailing clubs, boat enthusiast, weddings, school and community organizations come to enjoy the park's diverse facilities and amazing location. Spend the day or camp overnight in a tent or cozy sleeping cabin. Dining facility and campsites offer spectacular views of Lake Pepin, the Mississippi River and the Wisconsin bluffs.
Facilities include dining hall, seats up to 200 & offers a large kitchen with walk in cooler. Three screen shelters (30-40 people) are centrally located and include 24" outdoor grill. Group & individual tent camping sites can be reserved for a view of the lake or an in the woods experience. Park is a tent campers paradise. Cars are allowed in to unload camping gear and to pack up. Vehicles are kept in parking area and allows for in the woods experience. Boat landing is at the midpoint on Lake Pepin. Gives boaters easy access to the north & south end of the lake. Office & store accept credit cards and carry 6 & 25 lb. bags of ice, Hok-Si-La t-shirts, hats & sweatshirts plus camping and picnicking supplies. Playground has equipment for all ages. Chapel is nestled in a grove of pines. Perfect for an outdoor wedding. Or a place to reflect on the serenity of this woodland scene. Interpretive center displays history of park and is a place to play games, work on puzzles and view some of the park’s diverse wildlife. Volleyball & basketball courts, hiking trails with interpretive tree signage, horseshoe pits and beach offer park users a variety of experiences. Two modern bathhouse/shower facilities. Try rock hounding, bird watching, lake swimming (no lifeguard). Winter offers cross country ski trails, hiking and access to the lake for ice fishing.
Hok-Si-La is a multipurpose regional green space.
Canopy of oaks, maples and ash shade the main grounds and the campsites.
Park is minutes from downtown Lake City where gift & antique shops, restaurants, coffee shops, lighthouse museum, paddle wheel boat tours, kayak and canoe rental, marina (largest on the Mississippi River) and grocery stores.

Dates

Sleeping Cabins $60-80. Events Hall $120-290, Screened Shelters $30-74, Chapel $63, Reg. Tent Site $22-44. Group Tent Site $66-132.Nonprofit rate weekdays and shoulder season. Kids 4 & under free / 5 to 17 years old $6 per night. Dogs $6 per night.
