About

The JHP Art Gallery is operated by the Cook County Historical Society. It displays rotating art exhibits featuring various media and artists from all over the Midwest and Canada. Artists interested in exhibiting should write to:

One wing of the gallery houses the permanent collection of historic paintings of the area dating back to the early 1900's. The center room and East wing are used for revolving art exhibits featuring a wide variety of mediums by many regional artists. The gallery, which is open year 'round, hosts ten to twelve exhibits annually. Located in a prime tourist destination, it attracts a wide viewing audience.

Dates

The Gallery is open from 10 am - 4 pm Monday - Saturday and 1 - 4 pm on Sunday. During the Winter months the Gallery is open on weekends.

The Gallery is closed the week before an exhibit opening in preparation for the show.
