Start the day with a relaxing morning sail! Lake Pepin sailing in the morning typically offers lighter winds and are perfect for those looking to escape the heat of the afternoon. The lake is usually less crowded in the mornings as well. You’ll see eagles soaring among the bluffs and occasionally osprey and pelicans.

If you are in the mood for a more spirited sail, afternoons will typically be your best bet! Winds usually build as the sun warms the surrounding lands in the late morning and afternoons. Our sailboat, Baroque, loves sailing in 10 to 15 knots of wind and we will go out in even more.
