Linden Hill Historic Estate

About

The homes of the Linden Hill Historic Estate were built in 1898 by Charles A. Weyerhaeuser and Richard Drew Musser, two men who came
to Little Falls in 1891 to manage the Pine Tree Lumber Company for their fathers, Frederick Weyerhaeuser and Peter Musser.
After serving as a private residence for over ninety years, the estate now serves as a popular tourist destination, an event venue and a historic
lodging facility. The nine acres of lawn and gardens overlooking the Mississippi River consist of majestic oaks, basswoods (also known
as linden trees for which the estate was named), and blooming flowers. The Musser home (white) is used as an event space but can also
be booked as a one-of-a-kind lodging and event facility that sleeps up to twenty-five guests. The Weyerhaeuser home (green) is open for
seasonal museum tours from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The museum is unique with all the artifacts in the home having belonged to
the families between 1890 - 1989 with more artifacts being uncovered every day. The estate grounds are open to the public year-round unless
an event is in progress. The grounds also serve as a stunning backdrop for weddings, family reunions, picnics, music events, and more. In
the winter, both mansions are open to the public the 10 days following Thanksgiving for Christmas at the Mansions. Each year, tourists get
to experience a unique, immersive holiday experience with Christmas decorations and artifacts adorning both homes.
Whether you’d like to plan an event, take a tour, or simply walk the grounds, the Linden Hill Historic Estate is a must stop in Little Falls, MN.
