Medicine Creek Farm & Farm Stay

About

Experience a “farm stay” getaway at a regenerative family farm. Medicine Creek Farm is a beautiful expanse of gentle hills and low-lying wetlands on the edge of Minnesota's northwoods. Here, our farm animals live outside in their natural habitat alongside thriving wildlife like coyotes and wolves. Our rotational grazing system aims to improve the soil, water, and air through a cycle of conscious impact, rest, and regrowth that mimics our earth's natural cycles. We hope your visit will inspire your own rest and regrowth through connection with the natural world.

Our signature tour to meet the cows, sheep, pigs, and chickens of Medicine Creek Farm is held every Saturday of the summer. You will also come away surprised to have learned about regenerative farming practices, soil health, photosynthesis, and carbon sequestration!
The tour is open to the public, but for an immersive weekend, book a stay in the Timber Farm Barn or Vintage Remodeled Camper Trailer.

The Timber Frame Barn features two bedrooms, one bathroom, a full kitchen and living room, and personal patio. It is particularly suited for those who would like to escape the city and experience a beautiful natural setting, but prefer full amenities. Salvaged and reassembled from two historic Midwestern barns by farm owner Jason, he has magically kept the soul of these structures intact with exposed posts and beams and clapboard walls, while offering guests modern comforts and clean design.

For a glamping experience, the Vintage Remodeled Camper Trailer sits along a ridge overlooking our regeneratively-grazed pastures. Take in the peaceful sight of grazing cows and sheep while sipping your morning coffee, and kick back at a campfire under the milky way just steps from a cozy place to lay your head. The camper trailer features original vintage fixtures alongside reclaimed hardwood floors and rustic woodwork.

Your support of the farm and our surrounding community allows us to continue thoughtfully taking care of the land and animals. While you're here we invite you to also support and enjoy our local businesses, lakes, trails, and state parks.
