From the intersection of Washington Ave and Portland Ave S, turn towards the river on Portland Ave (away from the downtown skyline). Follow Portland down the hill to West River Parkway and you will see Mill Ruins Park.
Get DirectionsAbout
Mill Ruins Park is the centerpiece of the revitalization of Minneapolis' historic West Side Milling District. In its 19th-century heyday, this area of mills and other historic resources made up the largest water powered facility in the world. Visit the archaeological excavation of this historic site, meander on catwalks to view tailraces and mill ruins, and then stroll across the Stone Arch Bridge to see St. Anthony Falls and the Mississippi River.
