Welcome to Red Rider Resort! We are located on Manual mine pit on the Far East side of the Cuyuna Recreational area and connected to the Cuyuna Bike Trail. In 2017 my wife and I bought the property and fell in love with it. We then thought it would be a great idea to share the property with the locals or tourists who would like to check out the Cuyuna Lakes Area. We wanted to preserve as much of the wooded area as possible. With this in mind we built our Resort around Mother Nature.

Our Stilt Cabins Reach over the bluffs to give you an amazing view of the lake nestled in the pines above the steep 35' man made bluffs. The tent and RV sites sit on a ridge once used by the Mining Companies to bring in the ore for processing. Our Resort offers 2 ways to get down to the pristine spring fed lake and enjoy the water activities. One way is to use steps down to a dock onto the Lake, or take a short walk or bike ride to the water on the other side of the lake at the DNR Public Access. The Public Access offers a gradual area good for kids to swim. Keep in mind water safety as the pit depth can be up to 161' or more with drop offs so we recommend life jackets to be worn at all times when on or close to the waters edge. Manual mine pit is a non-motorized, carry on access pit lake. Great for Paddle Boards, and Kayaking.

If you enjoy the Bike Trails, our Resort is offers an access trail which connects to the Cuyuna Recreational trails. With future expansion of the trails you will be able to ride 3 days without riding the same trail. In the winter the trails are groomed for Fat Tire bikes and are great for snowshoeing.

Fishing? Manual Mine Pit is stocked yearly with Rainbow trout and we offer winter guided trips or in the summer rent a kayak or fish off our 25' dock. (You do need a trout stamp to fish this pit.)

Is Relaxing and unplugging from the world for a while? Enjoy a good book and relax on the front porch of your cabin. (Wi-Fi is available throughout the Resort) Listen to the breeze flow through the large pines. Enjoy a campfire with friends and family.
