About

The Roseau County Historical Society is dedicated to the collection, preservation and exhibition of the Roseau County heritage.

The Society locates and collects any material which may help to establish or illustrate the history of Roseau County.

The Roseau County Historical Museum and Interpretive Center offers new and long time residents, young people, and visitors the opportunity to reminisce and learn the rich history of Roseau County. From early geological formation, native and immigrant exploration and settlement, to regional developments in population, education, religion, art, science, agriculture, manufacturing and trade, our heritage is preserved at the Museum and Interpretive Center.

The work of the Society is not limited to the museum. While gathering county historical information, the Society seeks opportunities to share this history with others.

Throughout the year the Society sponsors meetings, lectures, newspaper articles and tours. Many individuals utilize the society's vast collections as resources for researching family histories, preparing educational papers, or simply reliving a bit of yesterday.
