About
The Ruttger family owned and operated the resort from 1898 to 2020 making it the oldest family-owned resort in Minnesota history. Ruttger’s turned a new chapter in 2020 with new owner, 1898 Investments. In 2023, 1898 sold the resort to Odyssey Resorts. e Ruttger’s tradition are still an important part of what we do. Ruttger’s is a traditional, cozy, up north family lake resort where guests feel at home, relaxed and comfortable because they are treated like family; not a customer.
Enjoy s'mores by the bonfire, two picturesque golf courses, a full marina, a salon and spa, three restaurants, two bars, shopping, a coffee shop, and more, plus incredible fishing, boating, and water recreation. Ruttger’s is the closest full-service resort to the Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area and their world-famous mountain biking and hiking trails.
