About
Scandia Heritage Alliance is a 501c3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to preserve and celebrate Scandia's rich history, culture, arts and rural character. We embrace the charming, unique character of our community, recognizing its roots as a home to Ojibwe and Dakota tribes, Minnesota's first Swedish settlement, a historic center of mercantile business and agriculture - as well as its relationship to the Wild and Scenic St. Croix River and Minnesota Lake Country.
As we restore the historic Water Tower Barn that once stood in Scandia Village Center and create an Arts and Heritage Center to celebrate our city's history and cultural heritage. We organize and host Scandia's History Series, tours of historic houses, and of the St. Croix River, the route of Swedish settlers.
Over time, we will be hosting more and more events, theater, music, art exhibits, history exhibits. Check out scandiaheritage.org/events
