Tamarack Nature Center
About
A 320-acre park preserve located within Bald Eagle-Otter Lakes Regional Park. Wood chipped paths, paved trails and boardwalks provide year-round access. In this diverse community you will find red fox, deer, woodcock, and other wildlife, as well as ever-changing seasonal foliage. The floating dock serves as a scenic overlook onto Tamarack Lake. Observation deck overlooks Teal Pond. Environmental education programs are available on many topics.
Dates
Year round. Building hours: M-F 8am-6pm; SA 10am-6pm; SU noon-6pm; closed on official government holidays. Trail hours: 1/2 hr before sunrise and 1/2 hr after sunset. Nature Play hours: M-SA 10am-6pm, SU noon-6pm
Rates
Free admission to nature center. Programs do have fees, average fee is $4.50/person. Free parking.
