WINERY TOURS

Minnesota probably isn’t a location that comes to mind when you think of American wine regions, but it should! The first winery opened in 1977, in 1997 there were 3, and today there are over 40 commercial wineries. That increase is helped in part by oenology programs at the University of Minnesota. In 1995 they created the Frontenac grape variety and continue to create cold-hardy hybrids for Minnesota and other cold climate vineyards. Sit back and relax as we take you to Minnesota’s best wineries, located right outside the Twin Cities. Our knowledgeable tour guide will tell you about the history of wine in Minnesota and what makes it so special.
