Train Bell is a premier year-round family resort right in the heart of the Brainerd Lakes Area providing family vacations since 1908. We are in the shores of beautiful North Long Lake in Merrifield, a wildly active fishing lake and our immense sugar sand beach with chaises and water toys for all ages. From the moment you arrive and say 'hi to the lake', you'll feel right at home. We have modern shoreline Cabins; Villas and Condos with AC and fireplaces; and a large, unique Reunion Home. Whether it's a small family vacation, family reunion, a group event, or a club outing, we can accommodate you. Train Bell Resort has been providing family vacations for over 100 years. Your family can hike, bike, roller blade or snowmobile right out your front door on 110 mile paved Paul Bunyan Trail. Here at Train Bell Resort has planned family activities for the entire family. You can enjoy Minnow Races, train rides on our signature Train Bell Express, Penny & Medallion Hunts on the Beach, Movies which are shown throughout the week on the big screen. Our guests love hopping and bopping to the music at our weekly Dances Under The Stars. Our Big Money Bingo night is a fan favorite, and kids and adults fight it out on the Chicken Toss with Charlie the Chicken making an appearance. We also have Live Entertainment with Elvis, Weekly Giveaways, Contests and Prizes for all ages. For your enjoyment and convenience, we have a Guest Laundry Center, Guest Library, Recreation Center, a Store filled with gifts, toys, clothing, candy, concessions and groceries, we also provide Cable TV, WI-FI, 3 Playgrounds, our 45' Wood Train play set.

Our guests have use of Paddleboats, Kayaks, and Paddle Boards. Also, a Sand Volleyball court, Horseshoes, Snakes and Ladders Toss and Water Sports, including Water Volleyball and Basketball. Train Bell offers something for the entire family.

The 6000 acres of crystal clear water of North Long Lake offers great swimming, recreational fun and awesome fishing. The lake is known for its year-round Walleye, Northern, Bass, Sunfish, Crappie and Perch fishing.
