About
At the Weavers Guild of Minnesota (WGM), we believe weaving, spinning, and dyeing are fundamental to the human experience. Founded in 1940, we are the largest weaving and spinning guild in the US. We offer classes designed for learners of all skill levels, workshops with nationally-recognized instructors, and public talks and exhibitions. We teach both online and in-person. WGM is unique in the region due to its permanent location and vast collection of weaving looms, spinning wheels, fiber processing equipment and array of printed resources. If you want to learn to weave or spin, you've come to the right place!
At our space in Minneapolis (MN), WGM has dedicated classrooms and a shop selling specialty equipment, books, and yarns. Member benefits include meetings and lectures, self-study groups, exhibition opportunities and access to equipment and resources. Membership is open to everyone. Come in and be inspired!
