Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden and Bird Sanctuary

Founded in 1907, the Wildflower Garden is the oldest public native plant garden in the United States. There are more than 500 native plant species within the Garden's 15 acres of woodland, wetland, and prairie habitats. More than 130 resident and migratory bird species travel through or reside within the Garden.

Elm Creek Park Reserve & Eastman Nature Center

The park features more than 20 miles of paved hiking and biking trails, miles of turf hiking trails, a chlorinated swimming pond, children’s play area, nature center, picnic pavilions and picnicking sites, archery course, an off-leash pet exercise area, 18K of cross-country ski trails (including lighted trails and a trail with snowmaking), a lighted tubing hill with tube rental and snowmaking, a beginner-level downhill ski/snowboard area with snowmaking and skijoring trails.

Elkhorn Outfitters Rainy River Resort

We are a year round full service fishing resort located 10 miles north of Baudette, on the Rainy River. With Lake of the Woods being the Walleye Capital of the World, you are sure to have great experience. Sturgeon, Northern Pike, Sauger, Perch, and Small Mouth Bass are a just a few of the species you will find as well. With over 65,ooo miles of shoreline and 14,000 islands, Lake of the Woods is one the largest fresh water lakes in the United States. Elk River Country Club

Golf at Elk River Golf Club consists of an 18-hole, championship par 72 course that offers a variety of challenges and topography found nowhere else in the area. Elk River's lush fairways, small well-kept greens, oak woods, meandering creek, and strategically placed water hazards accommodate the novice, yet challenge the accomplished golfer.

Elk River Golf Club's small-elevated greens place a premium on accuracy and shotmaking. It is not unusual to have used every club in the bag during a round of golf here.

Elk River Community Theatre

Professional level live theater in Sherburne County and surrounding areas. Performances take place at the Little Theater in the Elk River High School.

The Elk River Community Theatre was formed in the summer of 1975 by a small group of local volunteers dedicated to providing an organization for the performing arts in the Elk River Area. We have continued to grow as an organization and now include other surrounding communities in Hennepin, Wright, Anoka, Sherburne, Milaca, and Sterns counties. In the last 37 years, the ERCT has provided our community with 59 productions.
