The Miss Wabasha Royalty is chosen based upon a short essay on “What does Wabasha mean to you?”, on academics, extracurricular activities/community involvement and an interview. A panel of judges will review all participant applications and essays; they will conduct one-on-one interviews and choose the royalty. Miss Congeniality will be voted on by the other contestants.
Both Miss Minnesota and Miss Congeniality will be announced at a coronation held at 6 pm at Heritage Park in Wabasha the Friday of Riverboat Days!
The Minnesota Zoo’s annual Farm Babies event is one of the zoo’s largest—and cutest—events. Throughout the event, calves, goat kids, lambs, bunnies, chicks, and piglets will be on display at the Wells Fargo Family Farm. This beloved event provides guests with unique, up-close experiences that provide great photo opportunities plus on weekends include music, games, tractors, and more to enjoy. Farm Babies is included with regular zoo admission.
Maple syruping is a tradition that dates back to the first nations that lived in this area. Learn about the history of maple syruping, what makes the sap flow, and the process of turning sap into syrup through hands-on syruping experience.

River Bend hosts a monthly lunch & learn educational program for adults with professional guest speakers from nature and environmental related organizations. Bring your own lunch and listen to area experts. Lunch is 12:00-12:30 pm, guest speaker begins at 12:30-2:00 pm.
