Vocalist Sophia Shorai and pianist Tommy Barbarella have been performing together for over 10 years. Their duo album, As Long As You’re Living, was favorably reviewed by several national critics. For this special show, they reprise songs from that album along with other favorite pop and jazz standards.

In 2024, Jay Beckenstein and band observe the 50th anniversary of what started as a diversion, something that was just for fun (and twenty-five cents at the door). It began inauspiciously when Beckenstein and a few musician friends in Buffalo, NY organized a get together on their shared night off from working in bands that actually made money. It was a simple, humble idea with a name that was likewise simple and humble, “Tuesday Night Jazz Jam”.

History Theatre regularly commissions new work and has produced over 115 world premieres since 1978. The RAW STAGES: New Works Festival is an opportunity for YOU to get an inside look at the script development process and provide feedback for the playwrights. RAW STAGES 2024 consists of five staged readings of scripts-in-progress, directed and performed by professional artists.
Following each reading, audiences will be invited to join a live talkback with the artistic team and cast.

Mia x Ally is the electrifying duo project of electric violinist Mia Asano and bagpiper/multi-instrumentalist Ally the Piper. With a combined following of over 6 million people, both musicians officially joined forces in April 2022. Playing both original songs and covers of pop rock and metal music with a Celtic twist, Mia x Ally made their debut in Boston in August of 2022, playing two sold-out shows.

Explore our Wunderkammer exhibit and think what you would like to have in your very own Wunderkammer. Engage in historical conversation and decorate your own crafty cabinet of curiosities on January 20th at 10am at the History Center included with paid admission. Kids of all ages will enjoy this interesting, fun-filled craft class while obtaining a better understanding of collections and how they work in everyday life.
Hailing from Indiana, Jearlyn Steele grew up singing with her siblings Billy, JD, Jevetta, and Fred in The Steele Children.
