Hear Historic Fort Snelling's music ensembles—the Saxhorn Band and the Fifes and Drums—inside the warmth of the Plank Museum and Visitor Center. The showcase will feature holiday and historic favorites and is included with regular site admission.
Both ensembles are recruiting for the 2024 season! This will be a great opportunity to talk with our bandmaster about volunteer or student internship positions.
What could be better than coming out of hibernation for a fun filled day of winter activities? This community centered event will host a variety of activities such as skating, sledding, igloo making, crafts, games, and more!!! Be sure to warm up at one of the campfires, grab a cup of hot chocolate, or build your best smore! Family fun for everyone!!!
Experience the magic of winter at our 3-day winter break camp! Your child will embark on a journey filled with snowy adventures, creative crafts, outdoor games, and cozy moments by the fire. From snowman building contests to snowshoeing on the pond, each day promises a blend of excitement and cozy fun. We will be spending most of our time outside, please bring adequate layers to make sure your child is comfortable! This camp is for children ages 6-12 years old.
These nine musicians from the St. Cloud area have been making music together for over 20 years. Wings Over America is primarily composed of members of the Collective Unconscious, a St. Cloud band who brought you The Beatles’ Abbey Road, The Beach Boys’ Pet Sounds, Simon and Garfunkel’s Bridge Over Troubled Water, and others. You may have also seen them teamed up with the Fabulous Armadillos performing Takin’ It To The Limit – A Tribute to the Eagles and A Doobie Brothers Tribute.
