Prepare to enter a time capsule to the golden era of American music featuring an electric lineup of your favorite Rock & Roll, Blues, Country and Jazz hits from the 1950’s. Piano maestro Jared Freiburg and his Vagabonds will be serving a healthy helping of memorable tunes by artists spanning anywhere from Elvis to Frank Sinatra. Jared was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa, and began playing piano at the age of five. Jared portrayed Jerry Lee Lewis in the touring production of Million Dollar Quartet.

C. Willi Myles - America's Everyday Comedian
A veteran performer and an extremely funny guy, C. Willi Myles has the gift of connecting people with each other through humor and storytelling that everyone can relate to. After surviving his childhood growing up with nine sisters and one brother in Alabama, Willi moved to Minnesota to attend college and play football. With his stories about growing up in the south and acclimating to the cold of Minnesota, Willi gives a unique spin to life's everyday challenges by applying humor to them with relatable, non-offensive stories.

WrestleVérité Presents “The Final Chapter” – Live Pro Wrestling Returns to Hopkins, MN on October 19th!

WrestleVérité is excited to announce its next big event, “The Final Chapter,” taking place on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the Hopkins Center for the Arts located at 1111 Mainstreet, Hopkins, MN 55343.

Tribute to ACDC by Mad Scientist

Come and join them for what promises to be a spectacular show in St. Cloud! Mad Scientist is composed of some of the best musicians in the Midwest from bands like Crown Jewels – Tribute to Queen, Super Duos, Mallrats, Perfect Storm, among others. They are dedicated to bringing to life great music through themed shows played at the highest level. Their current experiment is a Tribute to AC/DC which promises to unleash rock ‘n roll at its best and loudest.

McKnight Resident Artist Talk: Karima Duchamp

Please join us in welcoming McKnight Resident Artist Karima Duchamp to the NCC community from the beginning of October through the end of December. During the first portion of her time with us in Minneapolis, she will present an artist talk with time afterward for questions.

Lindbergh After Dark

Come see the Lindbergh Home in a new light (or lack therof)! For the first time we are excited to be offering flashlight tours of the historic home. Join us after dark to take a guided tour of our historic home and using only flashlights discover the history and hijinks of Charles Lindbergh's boyhood home.

Tours starting at 6:30 pm and beginning every 30 minutes until the last tour, which begins at 9 pm.

The Becker County Museum is partnering with Detroit Mountain Recreation Area for the 5th Annual Haunt. It will take place at Detroit Mountain-This haunt is not intended for young children. Anyone under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a paid adult.
-Admission is $20 CASH per person regardless of age at the door.
-The Haunted Hill is an outdoor event. Dress appropriately for the weather and to walk on the trails.

Girlhood (It's complicated) Book Club

The Girlhood (It’s complicated) exhibit is now on view at the Minnesota History Center. Showcasing interactive displays, media components, and over 100 objects from the Smithsonian Institution collection, the exhibit explores how young women have continuously influenced politics, education, work, health, and fashion.

To celebrate the exhibit coming to Saint Paul, the Minnesota History Center has partnered with the Saint Paul Public Library to host a series of book clubs featuring Minnesota authors who write books about girls.

Winona State Homecoming Parade & Football Game

The annual Homecoming Parade has a new route through the Winona State campus:

  • start outside Somsen Hall (8th & Johnson Streets)
  • weave past the Gazebo
  • go up the street between the Richards-Conway residence halls and the Science Laboratory Center (Winona & Wabasha Streets)

Spectators must stay on the grass along the designated parade route. Bathrooms are available in Kryzsko Commons, Memorial Hall, and Maxwell Hall.
