Hibbing on Howard

Bring the crew for free family fun downtown. There will be food trucks, games, and activities for all ages! Each week will have a different theme - make sure to check back for details about the upcoming week.

7-8pm TEENS ONLY. We will collapse the road closure to a single block and let the youth hang out. The food trucks will stay and we will put up a few games just for them. This new addition is going to be a blast!

Focused on Craft: Basket Making Demonstration

During the 18th century, getting goods from around the world to the Snake River Fur Post required durable yet lightweight shipping containers. Come and watch as a very large wickerwork shipping container is woven from long, flexible willow rods called withies. This container is designed for carrying provisions and similar to ones commissioned by fur trading companies. The container will be woven by local basket weaver Jacki Bedworth.

Eagan's Juneteenth Celebration

This event will be a time to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States, while also celebrating African American culture through food, music, and community. There will be amazing live performances, vendors, and family-friendly activities.

Wild Rice Processing Demo

Head to the lakeshore to watch museum staff process wild rice using traditional methods including parching, threshing, and winnowing the rice. See the entire process from raw to finished product during 20-minute demonstrations offered on the hour.

The program begins at noon, 1 pm, 2 pm, and 3 pm. In the event of bad weather, this event will move indoors.

YOGA IN THE VINES

Join us in the beautiful Saint Croix Vineyards for a 60 minute all levels vinyasa flow practice led by Live Your Truth Yoga & Lifestyle Director RYT-500 Sarah Cherry. This experience will include: Creative and intelligent themes and sequencing honoring function anatomy. Beginner friendly Breathwork/Pranayama to help you relax and release stress and tension. Mini Sound Bath Savasana with crystal singing bowls. A glass of Saint Croix Vineyard wine of your choice.

Voices of the Valley - Tom Peschges

Red Wing area singer/songwriter Tom Peschges will entertain you with Blue Grass and Americana favorites on acoustic guitar.

Voices of the Valley, a Cannon Valley Trail interpretive program is planned to assist a visitor’s understanding and exploration of the Cannon River Valley and also provides educational and entertaining programs for Trail users.
