The Viking Age with Minnesota Historian Arn Kind

Skol! Learn all about the Viking Age with a living history presentation showcasing the Scandinavian heritage claimed by many Minnesota immigrants.

In this living history performance, Minnesotan historian and educator Arn Kind will bring history to life with a realistic portrayal of this mysterious age of Runes, Raids, and Sagas. Learn how these Scandinavians became excellent traders, craftsmen, ship-builders, inventors, and navigators, and how their raids disrupted the power structure of medieval kingdoms, ultimately resulting in the formation of Europe that exists today.

Cajun Street Dance & Seafood Boil

Join us downtown Winona for another street dance – Third Street will be closed down between Lafayette and Center Streets. Sponsored and organized by Peter’s Biergarten and Blooming Grounds, there will be a free Cajun dance lesson by Karen Kleinspehn, followed by Cajun dancing in the street with live music by New Riverside Ramblers.
