Jacobson Campground

Located on the west bank of the Mississippi River approx. 1 mile NW of Jacobson. It has 12 campsites and 2 camper cabins, pit toilets, drinking water (artesian well), picnic tables, boat ramp to the Mississippi, near hiking/ATV/snowmobile trail, no electricity. This primitive campground is in the heart of large acreages of public land. Campground managed by Aitkin County Land Department. Office hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 PM except holidays. Camper cabins require a code, call office during office hours.

Jacob's Cove Cabins

2 and 3 bedroom newly updated and cozy cabins, with a 14 ft. boat rentals and lift included. TV, microwave, and fan provided. Near beautiful Maplewood State Park, sandy bottom swimming, fun and relaxation and a golf course across the road[4 mi E. (on st. hwy 108) of Pelican Rapids]

Jackson Motorplex

Half mile semi banked dirt oval featuring Outlaw Sprints, Limited Sprints, IMCA Stock cars, Hobby stocks and B Modifieds. Weekly racing nights May thru Labor Day. See website for further details and an updated schedule.

Jackson KOA Kampground

Large grassy sites. Long level pull throughs for the biggest of the big rigs. All tent sites have grills, picnic tables and fire rings. Heated pool, play ground, horse shoe pits. Propane available. Saturday night car races.
Short drive to amusement park, lakes, and fishing. Horse accommodations available. Free wireless high speed internet. We also have a pavilion. "HOLLOWEEN" is the week end after Labor Day and we will be having karaoke and a pot luck supper also, and trick or treating.

Jackson County Historical Museum

Early settlement displays; the Indian Conflicts of 1857 & 1862, Jackson County Forts, The story of Heron Lake, the story of the witches of Loon Lake, early housekeeping & homemaking exhibits, manuscripts, books, photos, biographical library; newspaper microfilm from 1870, census microfilm from 1857 microfilm naturalization papers from 1870.

Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber office also serves as the Jackson Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. We are a conduit for information in our community and the surrounding area.
