Bringing It Back - Teen Culture in Waseca County During the 50s and 60s

The Waseca County Historical Society will have an exhibit on display from June 18th- August 30th, entitled, “Bringing it Back,” Waseca County’s teenage memories from the 1950s and 60s. Guests can take a walk down memory lane with us, and reminisce about their own teen years, or learn about a cherished era at the very dawn of teen culture. Also, an immersive photo op set will be available for people to come take photos of themselves with their cell phones or cameras.

X-treme Art Day Camp

GRADES 6-9

Have you ever made art with a bow and arrow? How about on a zipline? Release your creative energy, and put the “wild” in Osprey Wilds during our X-tream Nature Art Day Camp! Use nature as your inspiration to create realistic and abstract art to take home. Enjoy trying different art techniques and materials throughout the week, with a culminating project of designing, decorating, and hand sewing your own bag or drawstring backpack.

All art materials, lunch and two snacks are provided each day.

Wonderful Wildlife Day Camp

GRADES K-3

Minnesota is filled with a variety of wonderful wildlife! Come explore different habitats and learn about the animals that inhabit those spaces.

Grades K-3 campers will get the opportunity to meet and engage with many of Osprey Wilds animal ambassadors.

Lunch and two snacks are provided every day.

Space is limited. This camp has a pay-what-you-can fee with a suggested amount of $350 per camper for the week.

Where's Waldo Contest

This is one of Park Rapids’ favorite summer activities—during the month of July, Waldo will be hiding in a number of PR businesses such as retail shops, art galleries, the Chamber of Commerce and the library. Get a Find Waldo passport, find Waldo in participating businesses and get your passport stamped at each business.

WBCA Summer Art Sale

Shop local art from White Bear Center for the Arts artists during the Summer Art Sale. There will be artwork from WBCA teaching artists and students, as well as local high schoolers. Enjoy a lively afternoon full of music, food trucks, and or course, art!
