Eagan 5k & Kids Run

Eagan Kick-Start Rotary hosts the annual Eagan 5k and Kids Run to benefit local non-profits including The Open Door, Guild, The Drawer, Kids N Kinship, Can Do Canines, Caponi Art Park, local public safety, and many others! Open to all ages! Walkers and cheerers also welcome! Registered participants will receive a full swag bag including a t-shirt. 5k includes chip timing by Anderson Race Management. Award for top men's and women's finishers. 5k begins at 8am. Kids Run begins at 9am.

Mark Zimmer, aka, The Barefoot Paddler, has spent over a decade every summer exploring the BWCAW and continues to strengthen his connection with nature each year.

Mark will share his experience of completing and tracking every BWCA portage barefoot, relying on the land and lakes for food. He will also share camping, cooking, and fishing tips as they pertain to his extensive solo camping adventures.

The 50th Anniversary Prairie Home Companion is a 140-minute show celebrating the last live radio variety show. It begins with a six-minute video on PHC’s origins in Minnesota, followed by Garrison Keillor’s stand-up on the beauty of being 80. The show features comedy sketches, the Royal Academy of Radio Acting, and sound effects wizard Fred Newman. Highlights include an extended commercial for Powdermilk Biscuits, messages from various quirky sponsors, and musical performances by Rich Dworsky and the Guy’s Hot Shoe Band.
