Join other outdoor enthusiasts on the second and fourth Thursdays, April through June, for Bird Walks at the Sherburne History Center!

Hosted by Minnesota Master Naturalist, Dean Kleinhans, this program will focus on birding techniques and the importance of habitat and phenology. Use of binoculars, spotting scopes, cameras and cell phone apps will be covered. Kleinhans has over two decades experience leading and helping with bird surveys and tours in this area, primarily at Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge.

Walk Around the World

In partnership with IMAA, Walk Around the World celebrates the multicultural diversity that represents Olmsted County and celebrates the contributions that refugees and immigrants bring to the community. The event also recognizes World Refugee Day that occurs on June 20th. Join us for cultural performances, ethnic food, vendors, and cultural and community agency booths. This fun, FREE family event is on June 22 from 12-4pm with a rain date of June 23. There will be plenty of activities to keep your kids active and entertained!

Story Time Fridays at the History Center

Is your little one curious about the world? Do they love to be entertained with engaging stories? Then Story Time Fridays are the perfect way to nurture their love of learning!Join us every Friday at 10am for stories and fun for everyone. Take a walk through the museum, older kids can enjoy a scavenger hunt, and now with the beautiful weather, you can take a walk along the beautiful History Center grounds.
