The Christie Home and carriage house were built in 1901, in Queen Anne style, by Dr. George Christie, and the Christie family are the only people to occupy the home. Containing the original furnishings, several elaborate stained glass windows, and Tiffany lamps, the Christie Home is known as Long Prairie's Hidden Jewel. Allow at least an hour per tour! The Carriage house serves as an interpretive center and is a mini-museum of its own.

This 57-mile system of trails and ATV routes is located in northeast Minnesota and winds riders across rolling hills, through mature forest, and around historic mine pits and tailings piles. It also connects to the Taconite State Trail "Big Aspen Connection", an ATV trail segment that goes east towards Virginia and the USFS Big Aspen trails.
