Plein Air Art Festival

Artists paint Red Wing and surrounding scenes while out doors or plein air. Featured locations: He Mni Can-Barn Bluff, Main Street, historic neighborhoods, river overlooks. The best time of day to locate painters is early morning and early evening. This is a week long festival with lots of events going on throughout the week and an opening/award reception to end the festival.

PIRTEK Snocross National

Join us for the excitement of championship Snocross racing!
Watch riders soar over jumps and speed around the track during Pirtek Snocross National, presented by Country Cat. Some of the top extreme snowmobile riders from across the country will be at Canterbury Park during AMSOIL Championship Snocross for two days of high-flying stunts and exhilarating racing.

Pine River Summerfest

Pine River Summerfest is a entire community festival with many civic groups and organizations taking part. Included are arts/crafts displays, parade on Saturday, duck races, softball tournament, Legion steak fry, sidewalk sales, flea market and more! Including a classic Car and Tractor show and Rhubarb Fest!

Kicks off with The Warehouse Kid's Block Party on Wednesday from 6-8 P.M. Free admission.

Pine River Parade of Lights Day

Activities downtown and at the Legion throughout the day.
The parade begins at 5:00 P.M. After the parade the Pine River Chamber Open House takes place at the Information Center with free Christmas cookies, hot cider and hot chocolate offered free to the crowd. A yuletide bonfire is lit adjacent to the Info Center. Holiday fireworks are held at 6:25 P.M. The public is invited!

Pine River Heritage Days

The Pine River Heritage Days is focused on the history of Pine River and the restored Pine River Railroad Depot which has been added to the National Register of Historic Buildings! Events kick off with a high tea at the Pine River Railroad Depot on Thursday. A quilt show will take place at the United Methodist Church Friday and Saturday. A historic 1830's encampment featuring historical displays, tepees, fur traders and more will take place at Forbes Park all four days with FREE Hobo Stew feed on Saturday at Noon! No admission charge except for the High Tea!

Pine River Duck Races

The "racing ducks" are really decoys, not live fowl! Ducks are rented for $1 each and prizes are given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each race. A "Grand Duck Off Race" is held each Friday for the Grand Prize. All ages are welcome to race a duck down the Pine River! Registration begins at 1:45 P.M. Races generally last a hour to a hour and a half.

Pine River Community/Merchant Garage Sale

The Pine River Community/Merchant's Garage Sale will take place on July 31 & August 1, 2020 . Garage sales will be held throughout the community on both days as well as merchant sidewalk sales. A listing of garage sale locations will be available at the Chamber Information Center. Event also includes "Pie On Park Avenue" fundraiser on Friday only!

Pine River Art Show

The Pine River Art Show is an annual event featuring Pine River area artist's work. Art items are both for sale and for viewing. Art includes landscapes, wildlife, murals and more. The event is sponsored each year by the Pine River Art Club. Demonstrations and seminars are conducted during the two day show. It is held at the Warehouse Community Center in Pine River. Admission is free to the public.
