Wishes & More Winter Ball – The 20s Roar Again!

This year, the Wishes & More Annual Ball is taking it back a century! We're looking for Wise Guys and Glamorous Dolls to join us as we celebrate a time of "anything goes." Don your dinner jackets and fedoras – or slip into dresses with feathers and fringe and gather at the greatest Speakeasy to roar in a century. We'll be ignoring prohibition with drinks flowing, food aplenty, auctions in full swing and music for you to shimmy the night away at the after-party.

Wirtanen Farm Fall Festival

We are looking forward to this year’s festival. It will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2020 from 10am-4pm. As always, the festival is free for everyone, but donations are welcome.

As per tradition, we have many crafters and artisans that will be demonstrating and selling their wares. Local authors will be there for book signings. Musicians will be performing.

Strawberry Fields will again be joining us to provide carriage and guided horse rides. We will have several baby farm animals for the children to play with and hold.

Winterama

This event is a fun-filled day on Lake Minnewaska, near the Lakeside Ballroom. This event features the Waterama Polar Plunge, Chili Cook-off, Games, Music, Swetti Yetti Obstacle Course & Fun Run, Fireworks, & More!

Winter World of Lichens Field Trip

Northern Minnesota is home to a diverse lichen community. These species cover nearly 8% of the terrestrial surface of the earth, yet are relatively unknown to most of us. Join us on this trip to get firsthand experience in lichen identification, as well as to learn a few of the more common lichens in our area. During the trip, we will be making small collections of lichens for the Welcome Center or personal use! We MAY utilize snowshoes for this Field Trip (Limited availability, please RSVP if snowshoes are needed.

Winter on the Hill

Celebrate winter in Minnesota with tours, displays, and more focused on this season in the North Star State. Every half hour, house tours will focus on the Hill family's involvement with the St. Paul Winter Carnival and how they and other St. Paul residents survived, and even celebrated, Minnesota's most famous season.

New Year's Eve Party at Winter Lights

Bring family and friends together to celebrate the end of 2024 with a magical walk through the Arboretum’s Winter Lights display, family-friendly games and live music.
