Join us for the Whipper Snapper Races for Kids at Bayfront Festival Park on Duluth’s waterfront. These free races kickoff Grandma's Marathon weekend and are fun for the entire family. Registration begins at Noon and races start at 2 p.m.
The Zephyr Theatre, Stillwater, presents a reading series on Sunday, Jan. 19, at 2:00pm, featuring seven authors reading aloud their works of memoir, fiction and poetry, including three Minnesota Book Award winners.An exhibit of paintings by an accomplished visual artist also will be on display. Hovland Conservatory of Music will sponsor young pianists to play before and after the reading. Complimentary appetizers and cash bar. A donation of $10 is suggested at the door. No tickets required.

Fastpitch Softball Tournament Featuring some exciting action provided by some of the most talented female athletes from the area. Age groups of 12 and under through 18 and under will be competing in this three day event. Refreshments available onsite.
Ski or walk the mile and quarter round trip on the luminary lit Root River State Trail. There will be a campfire at each end to warm yourself. Enjoy a soup supper in Whalan's City Hall sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary and Minnesota DNR. A State Ski Pass is required. Soup served until gone.
