Monroe Crossing performs an electrifying blend of traditional bluegrass, bluegrass gospel, original bluegrass and some surprising selections from outside the genre. Named in honor of Bill Monroe, the father of bluegrass music, Monroe Crossing's superb musicianship and on-stage rapport have entertained audiences throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. For nearly 25 years they have been favorites among bluegrass connoisseurs and non-bluegrass audiences alike. They love introducing newcomers to bluegrass music!

"Disc or Treat"- A Halloween Family Event

Walk their illuminated Halloween trail while kids trick or treat, and enjoy the 10 active displays & 10 putting challenges along the trail. $20 per family (planned cost, lower if they can). Each child gets a free mini-disc, candy & hot chocolate! They'll have a food truck & drinks available for purchase, other carnival games, and a fire dancer!

Rochester Chamber Music Society presents Chopin and the Cello on Saturday, October 19, 7:30 pm, at Christ United Methodist Church in Rochester

Chopin, while faithful to his instrument, was not immune to the charms of the cello. As we commemorate the 175th death anniversary of the “Poet of the Piano,” pianist Ji Young Lee and cellist Jane Cords O’Hara will perform two of the composer’s works for piano and cello. Also in the program is a rarely heard work for piano
duet, a set of variations on a Venetian Air. Horacio Nuguid joins Lee to
perform this piece.

Step back in time with Shadows at the Crossing: Spirits of Old Traverse des Sioux, an immersive outdoor lantern-lit tour that brings the history of Minnesota Territory to life.

Traverse des Sioux has a rich and complex history, once serving as a crucial gathering spot along the Minnesota River. Following the 1851 Treaty of Traverse des Sioux, the area became a bustling town. However, its prosperity was short-lived, and today little remains of the once-thriving community.

Puppy Pals Live

The Puppy Pals Comedic Stunt Dog Show is a hilarious presentation for the whole family and the dog lover in all of us, the spectacle stars mostly rescued dogs. From shelters to showbiz, these pooches perform spectacular stunts and breathtaking feats. Wesley Williams leads the puppies and audience through challenging and comical tricks as they show everyone who is really boss!
