The Finn Creek Summer Folk Festival is a celebration of Finnish ethnic Culture through Music, stories, student essays and food with on site grain threshing, sawmill operations and an antique tractor pull on Sunday.
Experience the world of a Victorian finishing school in this three-day camp. Each day features a historical theme where participants learn about Victorian life through fashion, music, art, and etiquette activities. Participants will wear a Victorian-inspired costume and learn popular dances of the 1870s.
This camp is for ages 9-12 and runs 8:30 am-4 pm each day.
Annual run along the Root River State Trail on Thanksgiving morning. There is no cost ot participate in this event, but please bring a food item donation to share for the local food shelf. Registration takes place at 7:30am at the Riverside on the Root Restaurant in Lanesboro with the run starting at 8am. There are two run options: 10 miles between Lanesboro to Preston or 5 miles between Lanesboro and the Old Barn Resort. Contact the Fillmore County Journal for more information.
