Sweet & Sour Valentines

Join us for an evening of history and Valentine’s treats! Sammy and Clare will lead the group through a sweet and sour valentine’s day tasting. Sample modern and Victorian inspired confectionary paired with your choice of wine or non-alcoholic beverage. Each snack and beverage pairing comes with a Valentine’s History Tidbit. We will touch on Vinegar Valentine’s, forgotten delicacies, the language of flowers and homemade cards. We will end the evening by creating a mini-valentine in a fancy envelope to keep for yourself or send to a special someone.

Steve Cole Super Band

“Cole is redefining smooth jazz” – All About Jazz Saxophonist Steve Cole is one of the most celebrated players in contemporary jazz. The Chicago native exploded onto the scene in 1998 with the album Stay Awhile. His catchy singles made him an instant radio favorite, and he regularly cranked them out.

Stand-Up Comedy at Thunderbird Lodge

We are proud to bring stand-up comedy back to The Thunderbird Lodge in International Falls, MN. Mark Masters is Colorado's 2nd cleanest comedian, a comedy club headliner and a lovable goof who is not above an open mic with a sticky floor. Yes, he will do your show. Mark has headlined Comedy Club weekends in cities large and small, a barcade in the midwest, corporate events all over, and a New Year's mountain show at a concert venue.

Sled the City

The much-anticipated Sled the City returns this year on February 24th in downtown Chisholm as part of the Polar Bear Days winter festival.

Sledding will take place from 10AM-4PM along with ice skating at the rink at the bottom of the sledding hill where there will also be a bonfire for treats!

(Event is tentative and is dependent on available snowfall, event will be cancelled in the event of a lack of sufficient snow)

Saving Your Stuff

Join the Dakota County Historical Society and the Hastings Area Historical Society for Saving Your Stuff, presented by Megan Brakob Narvey. The program is available free of charge and all proceeds from the event will be split between DCHS and HAHS.

Attendees will learn about the "ten agents of deterioration" and how to preserve and protect the things you value. There will be an open question and answer session after the program. Additional recommendation on resources will be provided to attendees throughout the presentation.

Seasoned songwriter, musician, and Grammy Nominee Randy Stonehill will be performing live at the Music Factory for the third time!

Randy Stonehill has been busy delivering heart-driven, relevant Christian music for over 51 years. He’s written hundreds of songs with 28 releases and counting, and he’s responsible for some of the most authentic, influential Christian music ever written.

Purple Funk Metropolis is a charismatic seven-piece instrumental band with a raw sound inspired by soul, jazz, funk, and more. Whether in a Como basement or a downtown dive bar, PFM's energy notoriously gets the whole room dancing. Northern TRAXX Polar Bear ATV Ride

The Annual Northern TRAXX Polar Bear Ride returns on February 24th as part of Chisholm's Polar Bear Days winter festival.

  • Riders will meet at 10:00AM at Jim's Sports Club where breakfast will be available for purchase
  • At 11:00AM riders will head for the Chisholm ATV Trail and start the ride toward the Hwy 5 Bar
  • At 1:30PM, riders will leave for the Sportmsmen's Club Shelter for Polish/chips lunch & bonfire
