Members Exhibition: K-12 Educators and Students

In the summer of 2024, NCC will once again turn its exhibition spotlight on our incredibly talented members (comprising students, educators, professional artists, and novices) with a juried exhibition. Membership is the only requirement for application. In addition to Members Exhibition in the main gallery, 2024 brings the return of the special opportunity to amplify the critical and highly-impactful work by the K-12 educators and students in our community. Much like the show in the main gallery, Members Exhibition: K-12 Educators and Students will be juried.

Maple Syrup Day 2024

As winter gives way to spring, the sap starts flowing in the maple trees. That’s maple syrup time — at Osprey Wilds! Come join us for our annual Maple Syrup Day which includes a pancake brunch and hands-on maple syruping program.

Enjoy a lovely pancake brunch and learn about the history and process of making maple syrup. Actively participate in all the phases of syrup-making including identifying and tapping maple trees, collecting sap, observing the sap being boiled down into liquid gold maple syrup and tasting the result!

Lunar New Year Cabaret

Ring in the Lunar New Year with glam, merriment, and a celebration of Asian American artistry! Our winter fundraiser kicks off the Year of the Dragon with lion dancers and a cabaret performance by longtime and new Theater Mu artists.

Kathleen Johnson Presents: Stevie Wonder’s “Hotter Than July”

Joep Beving

He was forced to end his musical studies at the conservatory; however, his love for his instrument never perished. Where once his goal was to hit as many notes per minute as physically possible, his style of playing has changed over the years, searching for a particular aesthetic essence.

Iron Range Polar Plunge

The Iron Range (formerly Grand Rapids) Plunge has raised over $511,740 in its 13-year history. In 2023, 163 Plungers raised $41,344 for the Special Olympics. Iron Range Plunge organizers are looking forward to the March 16, 2024 event for at least two reasons: Raising funds and awareness for Special Olympics across the state is the main reason, but seeing participants plunge into the icy waters of Carey Lake in Hibbing will no doubt be memorable!

Grumpy Old Men Winter Festival Vendor Market

Join us for the first annual Grumpy Old Men Winter Festival Vendor Market!This market will be held at the historic Anderson House Hotel on Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. This event takes place next to the annual Grumpy Old Men Flannel & Frost party at Heritage Park and is on the route for the horse drawn carriage rides! It is $35.00 to vend, space is limited so register soon!
