LAMF Callisto Quartet in Residence

The Callisto Quartet will brave the winter in Minnesota in LAMF's first ever winter residency! Join them for the culmination of their visit in this intimate program of string quartet repertoire. In addition to these performances their residency will include school visits and community outreach in the Brainerd Lakes Area.

Kofi & the Firekeepers - African Reggae!

Coming back to the Music Factory for the 5th year, Kofi and The Firekeepers will be bringing an exciting evening of African influenced Reggae music! Kofi lives in the Twin Cities but originally immigrated from Togo, Africa. He is a vibrant and talented artist whose music combines the infectious rhythms of Afrobeat, the spiritual depth of Gospel, and the soulful vibes of Reggae. With his unique sound and powerful lyrics, Kofi Faya is making a significant impact on the music scene, captivating audiences with his uplifting melodies and inspiring messages of faith, love, and hope.

Klezmer on Ice

You're invited to a wintertime celebration of Eastern European Jewish Music and Culture in the Twin Cities! Featuring a film screening; a Yiddish cabaret; instrumental, singing, and dancing workshops; and an outdoor event on the ice of Lake Harriet/Bdé Umáŋ celebrating the fusion of Jewish culture and Minnesota wintertime traditions. For the grand finale, psychedelic klezmer rock band Forsphil brings their reimagined mix of dark Yiddish love songs to the Cedar Cultural Center stage.

King Turkey Day 5k & 10k Races/5k Walk

Since its beginning in 1980, this event has grown to become one of the area's premier road races. ​​The Worthington Area YMCA is proud to be the organizer for the Annual King Turkey Day Run/Walk Events. All King Turkey Day (KTD) events are held in downtown Worthington. Competitive races include a 5K & 10K and medals will be handed out to the top three finishers in each age categories. Events also include a casual walk by the shores of Lake Okabena for families.
