It Begins with Us

This annual conference is uniquely designed to share the stories and experiences of community members to engage in meaningful conversations centered around diversity, equity, and inclusion. On Day 1, UCAP will be facilitating an interactive and immersive Poverty Simulation. On Day 2, the Pillsbury House Theatre Group ‘Breaking Ice’ will perform on topics related to diversity, equity and inclusion. There will be other speakers, including keynote, Billy Joe Comebellick of the Cheyenne River Tribe, Professor Amanda Sieling, as well as a community panel and interview segment.

Grumpy Old Men Movie Time with the National Eagle Center

The National Eagle Center is excited to announce that they will be offering a Grumpy Old Men Movie Time event on Saturday, February 24, 2024 in their Program Center located at 110 Main Street West in Wabasha!!Beginning at 2:30 p.m., the Saturday of the 31st Annual Grumpy Old Men Winter Festival, watch this iconic movie with our beloved Eagle Center volunteers and staffers.
Concessions will be available for purchase!

Fun at the Frozen Fortress

Embrace the cool of winter with a day of outdoor activities and events: The Moorhead Business Association's Snow Sculpture Contest, free cross-country ski and snowshoe rentals, gaga ball and other games, a hot chocolate station and marshmallow roast, beer for purchase from Swing Barrel Brewing Co., a scavenger hunt, DJ, face-painting, balloon-tying and much more frosty fun! Frostival Winter Trails Day

With the Dakota Prairie Chapter of the North Country Trail Association, you're invited to try winter trail sports of cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and ski shoeing. We'll have mini-clinics available, gear for you to use for complimentary light refreshments and information on the North Country Trail.

Frostival Sleigh Rides

Enjoy a sleigh ride through the beautiful and scenic M.B. Johnson Park, Saturdays, February 3 and 17, from 1 to 4 pm. Check in and enjoy Frostival treats and refreshments in the small shelter. Reservations are advised and can be made by calling 218.299.5340. Tickets may be available on-site if space allows. Admission is $5/person (children 2 and under are free).
