String Quilting

String Quilting is a fun stash-buster technique where strings (aka strips) of fabric of any size are sewn to a foundation paper. The blocks are then put together in various ways, creating truly unique projects. Precision cutting and sewing are not crucial; and both new and experienced quilters enjoy this type of quilting.

In this workshop, you will learn the basic techniques of string quilting from Darlene Holtgreve and create a block. We also will discuss how to use various design elements to create larger projects.

Nordic-Inspired Block-Printed Tea Towels with Kayla Ann

Learn the art and craft of block printing with returning artist Kayla Ann! In this 2-hour class on Zoom, we’ll explore the fundamental techniques of carving, inking, and printing. Kayla will guide students through carving a bird-like stamp and printing the design on a tea towel. The skills learned in class apply to future block printing projects—walk away with all the tools you’ll need to keep printing!

Needlefelted Easter Eggs - Painting with Wool -SOLD OUT-

“Egg-cited” for springtime? This needlefelting class is a great way to celebrate spring by creating decorative felted Easter Eggs. We’ll start with a rigid foam egg base, which we’ll cover in colorful wool from the instructor’s flock of sheep. Laura will then show you a variety of techniques for decorating your eggs with adorable little birds or animals and different types of springtime flowers.

Beginning Crochet

This beginning-level course is wonderful for those who want to learn how to crochet, but need some guidance about how to start. It also is a great class for those who have crocheted many years ago and need a little encouragement to get back into it.
