CHILL: The Entire Charlie Brown Christmas Soundtrack, Played Live and Danced!
As the weather chills, we chill into playful original choreography and movement improvisations set to the groovy jazz tunes of Vince Guaraldi’s playful and nostalgic “Charlie Brown Christmas” soundtrack, played live by local jazz musicians! After rave reviews and two years of big, enthusiastic crowds in 2018 and 2019, local jazz and American social-inspired dance company Rhythmically Speaking is teaming up with Amsterdam Bar & Hall once again to revisit CHILL, the unique dance and live music show that serves the Twin Cities public up some Charlie Brown holiday joy.
Candlelight Hike
Discover the beauty of Blue Mounds State Park on a winter night by the glow of candlelight. Enjoy a self-paced hike path lit by hundreds of luminaries starting at the picnic shelter. Need a break from the cold? Head inside the picnic shelter for a cup of piping hot cocoa or soak up the warmth of a toasty campfire.
Park staff would like to encourage visitors to carpool to the event.
A MN State Parks Pass is required for your vehicle to enter the park. A $7 day pass or a $35 annual pass are available. Staff will be present to assist with parking for the event.

Bemidji Brass Quintet
The Bemidji Brass Quintet will perform on Thursday, December 14 at 7 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church in Park Rapids. Members of the group are Kyle Riess, trumpet; Alyssa Konecne, trombone; Jeff Johnson, bass trombone; Eve Sumsky, horn; Scott Guidry, trumpet.
The Bemidji Brass was formed in 2017, a vision of Kyle Riess, to create a brass ensemble in the area, providing the opportunity to play brass chamber music.
