Dinner with the Dolls
Join us on Friday the 13th in the basement of the Lyon County Museum as we celebrate Halloween like its never been celebrated before. Dinner with your best friends, and the dolls, maybe some ghosts too? Tickets required and are very limited for this special event. they will be available to Purchase at the museum. Cost is $75 each (includes dinner & mini cocktail pairing - cash bar for cocktail hour will be available.) Bird Walk at Pipestone National Monument
Join a park ranger for a bird walk to learn more about some of the nearly 100 species spotted at this park! Meet at 6:30am in front of the Visitor Center on one of the dates listed below. These walks start early because that’s when the birds are most active. Complimentary coffee and donuts will be provided.

BIPOC Market at Union Depot
Union Depot is excited to host a new event this year on Sunday, September 17 from 11am-5pm. This event is free and welcomes all with the purpose of bringing visibility to the craft of BIPOC creatives in our communities. The BIPOC Market event will consist of BIPOC vendors showcasing their crafts, goods, and specialties taking place in the Head House, along with music and a variety of food trucks and options to enjoy out on North Plaza! Connect with your neighbors and browse unique crafts, gifts, and goods at this free, fun and festive community marketplace.
Ayodele Casel Rooted
Tap artists and jazz musicians share the stage with a seated audience for an interactive performance that elevates the rich history of tap dancing. Born in The Bronx and raised in Puerto Rico, Ayodele Casel is hailed as a “tap dancer and choreographer of extraordinary depth” (The New York Times). A Doris Duke Artist known for her skilled and imaginative improvisation, Casel’s projects include her concert and Bessie Award-winning film Chasing Magic, and her Drama-Desk-nominated work as tap choreographer for the Broadway revival of Funny Girl.
