Backpack Packing Party

On August 10th, volunteers will gather at Klockow Brewing Company to pack donated school supplies into backpacks for students in need. Volunteers of all ages are welcome to help prepare local students to return to school in the fall!

Animal Tracks of the Prairie

Calling all naturalists! Learn about the mammal species of our prairie through tanned hides, skulls, and other bones.

Visitors will have the opportunity to make a plaster of paris cast of an animal track to take home.

An interpreter will give a brief lecture on the local prairie species and assist in making track casts.

The event will run from 1 - 3 pm and is included with site admission.

Annual Goldzilla

Join us for Goldzilla, Retrieve a Golden of the Midwest's annual Fun Fair and Walk for Rescue - and one of the biggest Golden Retriever events in America! All money raised supports our mission of rescuing and rehoming Golden Retrievers and Golden mixes. All dogs (and people) welcome! Activities include a Walk for Rescue, Vendor Village, food trucks, lure course, dog play areas, silent auction, wine pull, and lots of fun and games for dogs and humans alike.

Heart of The City Race

The Heart of the City Race. HOTC is a non-profit race to help the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities and Kids Feeding Kids organization. The 5K, 10K and 15K courses are certified residential courses through the beautiful Heart of the City in Burnsville, Minnesota. Net proceeds from The Heart of the City Race 501C3 will benefit The Boys and Girls Club of The Twin Cities, Kids Feeding Kids program.

Corgi Races

The wiggle butt racing returns to Canterbury Park! Watch adorable Corgi's dash down the track on July 30 for our annual Corgi Races. Enjoy a fun and friendly competition between horses races while these Corgi's race for a chance to advance to the “best in show” competition and dog race finals on September 3, which will have all breeds returning to Canterbury Park for the ultimate dog racing experience. This event will be alongside our Pepsi Family Day!

DIANNE McINTYRE Group In the Same Tongue

With original music by celebrated composer Diedre Murray, it reveals how language creates worlds of beauty, alienation, harmony, tension, or peace.

Voices of the Valley

Programs take place on Saturdays during the months of May through September from 11am-2 pm  at
Cannon Valley Trail Welch Station Access.   This location can be
accessed by driving if you’d like to enjoy the events, but aren’t able
to bike there. Feel free to bring lawn chairs and come to listen to the
music. Social distancing will be observed and recommended.

Topics may include – Archeology, Geology, Native American Studies,
Railroad History, Tree Talk, Wildflowers, or other Natural and Cultural
programs.
